The will of George Darch, late of the Parish of Keinton Mandefield, Yeoman, who died on the Eighth day of November 1845. Executrix Ann Darch, Widow of the said George Darch. Proved in the Consistorial Archdeaconal Court of the Diocese of Bath and Wells 17th Feby 1846.
This is the last Will and Testament of me George Darch of Keinton Mandefield in the County of Somerset Yeoman made this fifteenth day of December One Thousand eight Hundred and forty one as follows. First I desire that all my just Debts funeral and Testamentary charged be paid by my Executrix hereinafter named. I give and bequeath unto each of my children Mary Dauncey, John Darch, James Darch, George Darch, Robert Darch, Sarah Darch, Stephen Darch, Henry Darch, Isaac Darch and Harriet Darch the sum of One Pound each to be paid by my Executrix hereinafter named out of my own personal estate hereinafter given within twelve Months next after my decease(?). I Give devise and bequeath unto my dear wife Ann All that my Messuage or Dwellinghouse Orchard Lands and hereditaments situate at Bawdrip in the County of Somerset and which I now hold under Mr Bradney for the life of my Daughter Mary Dauncey To hold the same unto my dear Wife Ann her heirs executors administrators and assigns according to the nature and tenure thereof for and during her natural life if my Estate and Interest therein shall so long continue and from and immediately after my said Wife's decease. I give and devise the same Messuage or Dewllinghouse Orchard Lands hereditaments and premises unto and equally between the four children of my said Daughter Mary Dauncey or such of them as shall be living at the time of my decease for all my then Estate and Interest therein To hold to them their executors administrators and assigns as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants. I also give and devise unto my dear Wife All that my Freehold Messuage or Dwellinghouse Lands and Hereditaments at Catcott in the said County and my two allotments in the Drove at Catcott aforesaid To hold the same unto my dear Wife's Ann her heirs and assigns for and during her natural life (Subject nevertheless to the payment of the Money I now owe thereon on a Mortgage from and after my Wife's decease [as the Bawdrip part of the estate to Mary Dauncey's children]. All the rest and residue of my real and personal Estate monies and securities for Money Household Goods and Furniture I give and bequeath unto my dear Wife Ann her heirs executors administrators and assigns for her own sole and separate use and benefit… And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Wife Ann whole and sole Executrix...
